Original consultation
Consultation description
Office of Rail and Road (ORR) is carrying out a post implementation review of the Railways and Other Guided Transport System (ROGS) safety regulations.
In this consultation we hope to discover if ROGS:
- has achieved its original objectives
- has objectives which are still valid
- is still required and remain the best option for achieving objectives
- can be improved to reduce the burden on business and overall costs
The review is on behalf of the Secretary of State for Transport and is the first time that ORR will do this in respect of health and safety legislation.
This process will be repeated (in relation to ROGS) every five years from 26 August 2016 or from the release date of the initial review report, should ROGS remain in effect.
