Consultation description

This consultation seeks comments on Defra’s plans to simplify environmental guidance.

We want to make it easier for users of government guidance to understand environmental regulations. We will be focussing on different topics throughout this consultation period. Find out what topics are currently being reviewed. The regulations themselves will stay the same.

Defra is also carrying out an independent review of all the environmental information that businesses have to report to government regulators. We asked for your views on proposals to make this reporting simpler. Comments for this closed in March 2014.

Defra will also be reviewing farming information reported to government regulators. These reform proposals will be open for comment over summer 2014.
