The CMA has published updated rules and guidance in energy and airports appeals and new rules and guidance in water and air traffic services appeals:

  • updated energy licence modification appeals rules and guidance (CMA70 and CMA71)
  • updated airports licence condition appeals rules and guidance (CMA172 and CMA173)
  • new rules and guidance for water appointment modification appeals (relating to matters other than the periodic price review) (CMA162 and CMA163)
  • new rules and guidance for air traffic services licence modification appeals (CMA167 and CMA168)

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is consulting on:

  • draft amendments to the energy licence modification appeals rules and guidance (CMA70 and CMA71)
  • draft amendments to the airports licence condition appeals rules and guidance (CC19 and CC20)
  • new draft rules and guidance for water appointment modification appeals (relating to matters other than the periodic price review)
  • new draft rules and guidance for air traffic services licence modification appeals

This follows on from our open letter published in December 2021.

The consultation will be open from 12 July 2022 to 5.00pm, 9 August 2022. Responses should be submitted via email to licenceappealsproject@cma.gov.uk.
