We received 22 responses to this consultation. The revised draft regulations have been laid in Parliament and will be published on legislation.gov.uk. If approved, the regulations will come into force on 3 October 2016.

Seeking views on draft retail exits regulations which will allow water companies to exit the competitive part of the non-household retail market.

Consultation description

We want to know what you think about draft regulations for retail exits. We’re also seeking feedback on a draft application form which water companies wanting to exit the market will use.

Water companies will be able to leave the market, with permission, from April 2017 onwards.
