Consultation description
This consultation paper sets out the proposed terms of access to a modified pension scheme for retained firefighters employed by fire and rescue authorities in England between 1 July 2000 and 5 April 2006. These proposed terms provide them with comparable pension rights to those enjoyed by regular firefighters during the same period.
This consultation is primarily aimed at fire and rescue authorities, retained firefighters, and key employer and employee representative bodies.
