Consultation description

In a joint consultation by the UK, Scottish, Northern Irish and Welsh governments, we are seeking views on a list of 60 food and drink assimilated laws inherited from the EU.

The UK and devolved governments believe that many of these laws are obsolete and intend to revoke them. There are some we would like to amend to take into account the domestic law context in which they now apply.

This would enable us to take ownership of our regulatory framework.

We have also published the consultation in Welsh.
