  • remove Scarborough Borough Council’s competent harbour authority status as soon as possible

Consultation description

Consultation seeking views on the applied removal of pilotage services to Scarborough Borough Council harbour authority, at the harbours of Scarborough and Whitby, which in turn means the removal of this authority from the competent harbour listing.

The application is from Scarborough Borough Council and follows a statutory review of the Scarborough harbour authority’s pilotage function, which concluded that there is no further need for pilotage services within its waters.
