We received 146 responses to this consultation. 

In response to the feedback received, we will make the following changes to the simpler recycling policy. We will:

  • include the proposed additional relevant non-domestic premises in upcoming regulations in 2024, subject to the parliamentary process

  • include an additional question to record which recyclable waste streams have been co-mingled in the planned digital waste tracking service

We want to know what you think about 2 proposed policies that will support the delivery of simpler recycling in England.

These proposed policies relate to:

  • an expansion of the list of relevant non-domestic premises that will need to comply with new requirements for simpler recycling
  • additional information that waste collectors will need to record in the digital waste tracking service
