Consultation description
Seeking views on the developed appraisal framework for start-up aid for airports. The framework will allow Department for Transport (DfT) to:
- evaluate bids
- determine whether a scheme should receive funding
- rank the scheme where funding requests exceed funding available.
In the 2014 Budget, the Chancellor announced a £20 million per annum Regional Air Connectivity Fund to London, which can be used to provide start-up aid for new routes from airports of fewer than 5 million passenger per annum.
