This call for evidence:

• explains the government’s ideas for simplifying the help homeowners can get towards mortgage interest
• asks how help with mortgage interest should be changed, taking into account fairness to taxpayers

We’ll consider the responses to this call for evidence before developing detailed policy proposals.
