Consultation description

Public service pensions are being reformed to make them more sustainable and affordable in the long term, and fairer to both members and the taxpayer. The reforms to the Teachers’ Pension Scheme will ensure that the scheme remains one of the very best available.

We are seeking views on the draft Teachers’ Pension Regulations 2014, which are proposed to be laid in Parliament in spring 2014, with the reformed scheme coming into force on 1 April 2015. The draft regulations cover details on the operation of the reformed scheme, as previously published in the Proposed Final Agreement on 12 March 2012 and as consulted on from 7 May to 28 June 2013.
