On 11 September 2012 the government published a consultation paper on technical reforms to Council Tax, empty homes premium: calculation of Council Tax base in England. This consultation sought views on how homes liable to the new empty homes premium should be considered when local authorities calculate their council tax base every year. This document provides a summary of the 32 responses received in response to the consultation and government’s response to that.
