The Thames Estuary 2050 Growth Commission was announced in March 2016. It was tasked with developing an ambitious vision and delivery plan for north Kent, south Essex and east London up to 2050.

This call for ideas was an open invitation for all interested parties, both within and outside the Thames Estuary, to put forward their ideas. The Commission reviewed public feedback alongside supporting analysis on the area’s key challenges and opportunities.

The conclusions of this work are presented within the Commission’s 2050 Vision.
