We believe that the closure of the ILF in 2015 should go ahead and that funding should be devolved to local government in England and the devolved administrations in Scotland and Wales.

The ILF was permanently closed to new applicants in December 2010, and the consultation was about the best way for those currently using the fund to become part of local social care arrangements.
The government sought views on how closure could be managed in a way which would minimise disruption to the care and support needs of existing ILF users.
