Consultation description

We want to know what you think about the focus and aims of The National Forest in the next 10 years. The 2014 - 2024 strategy will have two overriding objectives:

  1. Making the most of the investment so far.
  2. Securing a sustainable future for the forest.

To achieve these, the National Forest Company will work to secure continued funding for The National Forest. This may come from partnership working as well as public, private and charitable sectors. This will ensure we make the most of the investment to date and that the forest is well managed, used and enjoyed and that its visitor and woodland economies realise their potential.

The strategy will also out how we plan to tackle the challenges in the next 10 years. These include reduced levels of funding from the government and less land availability for forest creation.
