Consultation description

As announced at Budget 2013, the government has published a consultation on options for providing further support to the visual effects industry today (21 May 2013).

The visual effects industry makes a valuable economic and cultural contribution to the UK, supporting the performance of the wider digital and creative content sectors.

This consultation invites views from individuals, companies and representative and professional bodies on options for providing further support through the existing film tax relief. We are also seeking views on other options to support this sector.

Responses should be sent to HM Treasury by 2 July 2013. Once the consultation period has closed, we will consider all responses received.
