Consultation description

We want to know what you think about our proposed guidance to Ofwat (The Water Services Regulation Authority) on developer charging for new water and sewerage connections. The guidance sets the policy framework for Ofwat to apply to its charging rules in England.

This guidance applies to the rules for charges for new water and sewerage connections. These charges relate to:

  • developers
  • self-builders
  • self-lay organisations
  • existing customers who wish to have their pipework renewed.
