Natural England is seeking views on proposed changes to how it assesses wildfowling consent on protected sites.

The proposed changes aim to secure good environmental outcomes and make assessments:

  • more straightforward
  • easy to understand
  • responsive to changes in bird numbers on the site
  • responsive to conservation work wildfowling clubs may undertake

Protected sites are:

  • sites of special scientific interest
