Consultation description

We have extended the consultation period to allow more interested parties to have their say. It will now close on 16 November at 5pm.

This consultation paper outlines our proposed compensation scheme to help redress the impact on the Windrush generation who have faced difficulties in demonstrating their lawful status under the immigration system.

The compensation scheme will build on the measures already introduced by the government to right the wrongs experienced by members of the Windrush generation. A call for evidence was published on 10 May.
