Regulation Directorate

The Regulation Directorate leads the regulatory reform agenda across government.

The Regulation Directorate is a unit within the Department for Business and Trade. It was formerly known as the Better Regulation Executive.

It works with government departments to monitor the measurement of regulatory burdens and coordinate their reduction, and to ensure that the regulation which remains is smarter, better targeted and less costly to business.
