Department for Education Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy User Group
The group advises the Department for Education on their progress on the sustainability and climate change strategy.
Background
The Department for Education (DfE) published a sustainability and climate change strategy in April 2022.
Terms of reference
The group provides feedback on the progress DfE is making on the strategy.
They advise the DfE sustainability and climate change portfolio delivery board.
Remit
The group’s responsibilities are to:
- engage the education sector in the strategy and give feedback to DfE
- challenge DfE policies, identify risks and suggest mitigations
- help to communicate DfE’s progress and initiatives to groups that are hard to reach
- provide support and expertise
Progress report
The group has published an assessment of DfE’s progress on the strategy.
