The DWP Methods Advisory Group supports DWP's Chief Scientific Adviser in providing the department with the latest expert advice.
The Methods Advisory Group ensures DWP analysts and scientists use the latest scientific, technical and analytical approaches when providing evidence to support policy and delivery decisions.
The group supports and advises DWP’s internal analytical and scientific functions and enhances the department’s existing academic engagement. The Methods Advisory Group is trans-disciplinary in nature, consisting of members with different areas of expertise that are world-leading independent experts in their fields.

DWP is looking to recruit up to 8 new members to the Methods Advisory Group from academic and non-profit organisations with a research, science or analytical focus.
We welcome applications from experts across a broad range of fields, including (but not limited to):

Management and organisational design
Operational research

Social policy
Sociology
Statistics
Appointments are for 3 years in the first instance. Members are expected to commit to 3 to 6 days a year. There is no salary, and members can claim reasonable travel and other expenses.
