The Government Digital Service (GDS) Advisory Board supported the digital and technology centre for government to transform and deliver quality public services.
This group has closed
Specific programmes at GDS now get technical and specialist feedback through a number of different forums. There’s no longer a need for a single group advising GDS as a whole.
Terms of reference
The GDS Advisory Board was responsible for:
- supporting and challenging GDS, government departments and agencies to ensure that user needs remain at the forefront of strategy and delivery
- reviewing government’s progress and ability to deliver against the commitments made in the new Government Digital Strategy
- sharing experiences and knowledge to demonstrate how the UK can continue to improve public services and understand the benefits that can be achieved
- providing external industry expertise and experience to ensure that government evaluates emerging trends in digital and technology and takes action where required
- being a supportive public voice on government transformation and raising awareness of progress and issues
