The Medicines and Devices Advertising Liaison Group (MALG) brings together regulatory and self-regulatory bodies involved in medicines advertising.
The Medicines and Devices Advertising Liaison Group (MALG) brings together regulatory and self-regulatory bodies involved in medicines advertising.
The group generally meets twice every year and includes representatives from the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and:
- the Advertising Association
- the Advertising Standards Authority
- Clearcast
- the Committee of Advertising Practice
- the Proprietary Association of Great Britain
- the Prescription Medicines Code of Practice Authority
- the Radiocentre
- the Health Food Manufacturers’ Association
- the British Herbal Medicine Association
The remit of the group is to discuss current issues and areas of common interest in medicines advertising regulation. The aim is to promote a common interpretation of the law on advertising medicines and high and consistent standards in advertising regulation.
