Multi-academy trust leadership development offer expert advisory group
The group advises the Department for Education (DfE) on the content and delivery of the new multi-academy trust leadership development programme.
Role
The group will support DfE to deliver its schools white paper commitment to create a world-class professional development programme for multi-academy trust chief executive officers.
Overview
The group’s purpose is to advise ministers on a content framework and its delivery for a new multi-academy trust leadership programme.
The group will:
- define the knowledge, skills and behaviours individuals need to perform the role of chief executive officer for a large multi-academy trust
- advise on the programme’s target audience, length and design
- advise on the delivery model required to meet the needs of the sector
The group provided advice and guidance to ministers on the development of the programme through recommendations it made in 2022.
