Women’s Football Taskforce

The Women’s Football Taskforce aims to progress the recommendations of Karen Carney OBE's independent review of women's football.

Role of the group

The purpose of the Women’s Football Taskforce is to progress the recommendations of Karen Carney OBE’s independent review of women’s football. Read the review: “Raising the bar - reframing the opportunity in women’s football”.

The Women’s Football Taskforce brings together stakeholders from across industry and government departments which have a responsibility for driving forward recommendations from the review, with the overarching objective of creating a sustainable future for women’s football.

Thematic sessions focused on specific recommendations will be scheduled quarterly in 2025.
