The Minister for the Constitution supports the Minister for Cabinet Office in delivering Cabinet Office policy.
Responsibilities include:

- Parliamentary constituency boundaries
- oversight of the devolution settlement
- constitutional policy, including Crown affairs
- political parties and referendums policy
- democratic engagement
- Public Appointments
- FOI
- Records and Archives
- support to Minister for Cabinet Office on the functional agenda
