Responsibilities

The Minister for Civil Society leads on the civil society agenda. The minister is responsible for:

• the Big Society agenda
• National Citizen Service and youth policy
• social action
• civil society sector support
• social enterprise and social investment

The minister is also responsible for UK statistics, and supports the Minister for the Cabinet Office on public sector efficiency and reform.
