Resurfacing work totalling £2.5 million will start this month on the A303 improving journeys between Countess to Solstice Park and Solstice Park to Cholderton, near Amesbury.

The Solstice Park to Cholderton work along approximately a three and a half mile stretch will be carried out over 25 nights between 8.00pm and 6.00am.
Project sponsor Paul Vosper said,
This work will ensure these sections of the A303 remain safe and reliable for drivers for many years to come.
Every effort has been made to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum, but we advise road users to allow extra time to complete their journeys.
The Countess to Solstice Park resurfacing is scheduled to start on Friday, 30 January and will be completed by 9 March. No works will be carried out over the weekends of 14 and 15 February or 21 and 22 February during school half-term holidays .
The Solstice Park to Cholderton work will start on the night of Monday, 2 February and will continue Monday to Friday until March 12
To ensure the safety of both the travelling public and our workforce, it will be necessary to fully close these two sections of the A303 to through traffic while the work is taking place and fully signed diversion routes will be in place.
Some day-time lane closures will also be necessary while the works are taking place.
