A19 northbound South Kilvington to Borrowby resurfacing
Work to resurface the northbound carriageway of the A19 between South Kilvington and Borrowby in Thirsk, North Yorkshire, will take place next week.
Highways Agency Project Manager, Kyle Maylard, said:
We will be carrying out essential resurfacing work on the A19 to provide a smoother road surface and improve safety for drivers.
The work will take place overnight from Monday 28 July to Saturday 9 August between 8pm and 6am on Sunday to Friday evenings only. Overnight the northbound carriageway will be closed between South Kilvington Interchange and Osmotherley Interchange, and clearly signed diversion routes will be in place. During the day a 50mph speed limit will be in operation as traffic will be using a temporary road surface.
When the northbound carriageway is closed, A19 northbound traffic will exit the A19 at A19/A61 South Kilvington Interchange and follow the A168 to Northallerton, then the A684 to re-join the A19 northbound using the A684 Osmotherley Interchange northbound entry slip road.
