Appointment of Her Majesty's Ambassador to Georgia
Ambassador Designate Alexandra Hall Hall arrived in Tbilisi on 22 July to assume the role of Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Georgia.
Upon arrival Ambassador Designate said:
I am honoured and delighted to be appointed as Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Georgia, a beautiful country, with a rich history, in a strategically significant part of the world. I am committed to strengthening already existing ties between UK and Georgia and very much look forward to working and living here with my family for the next few years.
Ms Hall Hall will fully assume her Ambassadorial duties as soon as she presents her working copies of the Letters of Credence to the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and signed originals of the Letters of Credence to the Georgian President.

Alexandra Hall Hall previously worked on a wide range of issues in the Foreign Office including South and South East Asia, the Middle East, Latin America and the UN. She also worked as Head of Human Rights, Democracy and Good Governance Department at the Cabinet Office. Previous overseas postings include Bangkok, Washington, and New Delhi, as well as a two year secondment to the US State Department. Ms Hall Hall most recently was Deputy Head of Mission in Bogota.
