We are pleased to announce that John Oliver, Waste Retrievals Director, Sellafield Ltd, has recently been appointed to the Whitehaven Harbour Commissioners Board.
John takes over Sellafield Ltd’s representation on the board from Scott Reeder, former Waste Retrievals Director.
The role of Harbour Commissioner involves working alongside local partners and agencies to protect and promote the heritage of the harbour and to contribute to the broader regeneration of Whitehaven and the surrounding area.
On taking up his new role, John commented:
I’m immensely proud to be representing Sellafield Ltd and taking over from Scott on the Commissioners Board. I hope to continue in the same vein as Scott and play my part in helping the board secure the necessary investment and support for the many harbour redevelopment projects that are planned to commence in the coming month.
