I am delighted to have the opportunity to visit Gibraltar so early in my role as Minister of State for the Armed Forces. I welcome the chance to meet Defence personnel during my visit, including members of the Navy’s Gibraltar Squadron. I am proud of the professionalism, pride and commitment they show every day as the squadron helps to demonstrate sovereignty over the territorial waters.
I look forward to constructive discussions with His Excellency the Governor, the Chief Minister Mr Picardo, and the Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Garcia.
