UK-US Trade and Investment Working Group
The UK-US Trade and Investment Working Group was set up in July 2017.
Role
The group’s aim is to:
- lay the groundwork for a potential future free trade agreement between the UK and the US
- provide commercial continuity for UK and US businesses, workers and consumers
Chair
The group is jointly chaired by the UK Secretary of State for International Trade and the US Trade Representative.
Membership
The group is made up of representatives from several US and UK government agencies and delegations from both the UK and the US.
