Assessing the EU’s impact on the UK: a review of the balance of competences

The government is carrying out a review of the balance of competences between the EU and the UK.

This is an audit of what the EU does and how it affects the UK. You can read more about the review of the balance of competences on the Foreign and Commonwealth website . The Department of Health will lead on the report on health between  autumn 2012 and summer 2013. The Department will issue a call for evidence which will be published on our website and it will also be announced on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office site.
