Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson said:

I wish all Hindu, Sikh and Jain communities in the UK and across the world a very happy Diwali. Ahead of Prime Minister Theresa May’s visit to India next month, I hope these celebrations continue and help further strengthen our long friendship with India. I hope everyone gathering to celebrate this holy festival of lights has a joyful and peaceful time. Happy Diwali and a prosperous New Year.
