BritCham welcomes new members
The British Chamber of Commerce -BritCham- welcomed its newest members in a special reception at the UK Ambassador’s Residence.
With upwards of 20 members in a variety of industries and services, the British Chamber of Commerce was officially launched in July this year and opens its membership to companies all over Guatemala. It works closely with the British Embassy to promote UK-Guatemalan economic ties and to attract new investment to the country.
The event was a great opportunity for networking between new and old members and helped to bridge the gap between supply and demand of products and services. During the event, several new members showcased their businesses through presentations, they also showcased what customers can expect to see if they use their services.
Members making their debut in the chamber’s expansive strategy included private security companies, health and beauty representatives, and prestigious law firms with British links.
The British Ambassador to Guatemala, Carolyn Davidson, said:
This event is an opportunity for the new members that have recently joined to come in, present themselves and get acclimated to what the chamber has to offer. We believe that the Chamber is an important and fundamental pillar for the promotion of trade and investment between our countries. Business-to-business exchanges make a real difference and the Chamber will be vital in supporting that.
The President of BritCham, Norman Laxton, said:
This is a big welcome to the chamber. The chamber cannot run without members. So this is a big thank you to our associates.
