British comedian Tony Hawks visits Moldova
Tony Hawks spoke at TEDxChisinau and participated in a charity race organised by the Tony Hawks Centre.
Tony Hawks is a British TV and radio comedian and bestselling author, who became popular in Moldova after releasing, and later bringing to the screen, his book Playing the Moldovans at Tennis.
British Embassy Chisinau supported Tony’s visit for TEDxChisinau Event, where he presented his ideas in a speech called “Make Billionaires History”. The event took place on 25 May.
Tony Hawks also helps the Tony Hawks Centre and together with the centre team they organized ‘‘The Amazing Chisinau photo/video Scavenger Hunt Charity Race’’ on Sunday 26 May.
The British Ambassador to Moldova, Mr Phil Batson joined Tony for an event organized by „Tony Hawks Centre” and the Automobile Club of Moldova (ACM) on 24 May, where they helped promoting road safety measures for children with disabilities.
The care centre is supported by royalties from the book and profits from the “Playing the Moldovans at Tennis” film.
