British company powers Indian businesses’ gateway to the world
This UK-India partnership will help connect Indian businesses with global supply chains and open potential avenues for further collaborations.
UK headquartered, innovative e-commerce company, cloudBuy has teamed up with India’s major business association Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to provide e-commerce services for its 7,000 membership. Supported by UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) at the Global Exhibition on Services in New Delhi, cloudBuy announced their partnership as part of their ambitious plans for India. cloudBuy provides cloud-based e-commerce marketplaces and B2B buyer and supplier solutions.
In response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to the world to ‘Make in India’, the UK launched a campaign to celebrate and inspire GREAT collaborations between the UK and India. The CII marketplace initiative between cloudBuy and CII is a further GREAT collaboration, the first being between BP and India’s Reliance Industries Limited (RIL).
British High Commissioner to India, Sir James Bevan KCMG said:
This initiative embodies the spirit of GREAT collaborations between the UK and India. The CII e-marketplace shows cloudBuy, a UK-headquartered global company, working together with CII, which has over 7,000 Indian Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and multi-national company members. The online marketplace will then drive further collaborations as Indian suppliers are connected to international trading partners.
cloudBuy is providing Indian Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) with a free listing on the CII e-commerce gateway to promote their products and trade securely online in India and across the world. TT Ashok, Chairman CII National SME Council, has deemed this partnership to have opened a gateway to the world for Indian businesses.
CEO of cloudBuy, Lyn Duncan said:
We are delighted to be working in collaboration with CII to deliver the B2B marketplace infrastructure to enable secure e-commerce for the CII business gateway to global supply chains. Our cloudBuy teams in the UK and India are now focused on bringing as many organisations as possible onto the marketplace and making it simple for them do business globally.
