British Consul General condemns burning of mosque in al-Mughayyir

Commenting on recent events in al-Mughayyir village near Ramallah, Dr. Alastair McPhail the British Consul General in Jerusalem said:

I was deeply disturbed to hear of the burning of the mosque in al-Mughayyir village on Wednesday. The incident should be investigated quickly and those responsible must be brought to justice. The basic right of freedom to worship in safety and security should be available for everyone from different religions and sects. Amid the current tensions, the UK continues to call on all parties to denounce violence.
