Charge’ D’Affaires Simon Mustard attends a sign language class during the Diversity Week

The British Council proudly celebrated Diversity Week from 8-14 March to raise awareness about EDI (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) through activities such as International Women’s Day, Sign Language and Deaf Culture, Diversity Lunch and Living Book sessions.

Charge’ D’AffairesSimon Mustard had the chance to attend the Sign Language class, in which participants learned Jordanian sign language and gained an insight into the deaf world, culture, and the history of the deaf community. The group also learned about communicating with deaf people and how to approach them.
