British Embassies in UAE respond to Nepal Earthquake

Employees at the British Embassies in the UAE held three events last week to raise help for those who are affected by the Nepal earthquake.

Employees at the British Embassies in Abu Dhabi and Dubai held three events last week to raise help for those who are affected by the Nepal earthquake.

The two events held in Abu Dhabi; Folks Night and Dress Down Thursday were able to raise AED 8,679 to The Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund. Nepal Breakfast Event held at the British Embassy in Dubai raised AED 2,000.

On 25 April, a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck an area between Kathmandu and Pokhara, Nepal. The government of Nepal has requested international assistance and the UK government is responding. Thousands are in need of shelter, water and food and the UK government is working to ensure survivors get the help they need.
