British Embassy for Honduras

The United Kingdom remains deeply concerned about the fragile political and security situation in Honduras. We call on all sides to seek common ground and take responsibility for protecting the human rights of all Hondurans, including freedom of speech, freedom to protest peacefully and private property rights. We urge the Honduran security forces to protect civilians and exercise restraint as they respond to ongoing events. It is of utmost importance that the authorities continue their efforts peacefully to restore confidence and credibility in the national institutions.
