British Embassy Chisinau supports the Global ESVC Summit
British Embassy Chisinau takes part in the global relay to support the End Sexual Violence in Conflict Summit in London
British Ambassador, Mr Phil Batson tells visitor about the importance of the ESVC summit in London.
The Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict that took place between 10 - 13 June in London was supported by the British Embassy Chisinau which participated in a Global Summit Event Relay that lasted 84 hours in a row!
British Embassy Chisinau displayed a framed Time to Act canvas which was signed by representatives of Moldovan Government, Heads of Missions accredited in Chisinau, and civil society representatives supporting this initiative.
The British Ambassador, Mr Phil Batson, spoke about the importance of the PSVI initiative and why we must start acting now to stop the sexual violence being used as a weapon of war. The guests could follow the most interesting developments of the summit and the global relay events on a special screen.
The canvas will be mounted on a wall at the British Embassy Chisinau as a salutary reminder to staff and visitors.
