On 13 May, The British Embassy partnered with Readitstore to organise a screening of “Life on Our Planet” film by the world-famous director and naturalist Sir David Attenborough in the Ashgabat shopping centre.

In this film, Sir David highlights the problems the world is facing as a result of human-induced climate change.  It is a frank first-person account of humanity’s impact on nature and a message of hope for future generations. Attenborough reflects on the defining moments of his life as a naturalist and the devastating changes he witnessed. The film was produced by the award-winning British film studio Silverback Films and the global environmental organisation WWF.

This film is a powerful call to all countries to protect and restore the Earth’s natural habitats and ecosystems. It shows the scale of the challenges that we are facing, and the role that everyone on the planet can play in creating the solutions we urgently need.
