EU Day Open House

EU Day Open House

Each day, the dedicated staff at the British Embassy in Washington work to cultivate and promote the special cultural, creative, business, defence and trade ties we share with the United States.

On 11 May from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, the embassy will open its doors to the public for EU Open House Day, where those ties and the special relationship will be displayed for the public. See for yourself why the UK remains a fantastic destination for travel, study and business investment. Join us as we celebrate UK culture, heritage, innovation and creativity: a bit of everything that makes Britain GREAT.

For the 6th year, the British embassy has taken part in this special day-long event, which celebrates the tremendous work that other EU country embassies are doing in Washington, the bonds they share with the United States and what makes each EU country unique.

Early visitors will enjoy students from The British School of Washington, who will sing “God Save the Queen” as the gates open and will be greeted with a free Union Flag bag. British food will be available for purchase from Union Jack’s Pub. Thank you to Rolls Royce, Raytheon and Visit Wales for making our participation possible.

Buses will be available to ride from embassy to embassy. For more information about the bus route or EU Day visit EUOpenHouse.org.
