British High Commission Kingston invites proposals for Bilateral Programme Budget 2013-2014

The British High Commission in Kingston is seeking bids for projects for the financial year 2013/2014.

The British High Commission provides funding for civil society and government agencies for activities through its Bilateral Programme Budget and the Caribbean Regional Prosperity Fund.

For the financial year 2013/14 the British High Commission seeks bids for projects. Priority will be given to bids in the following areas:

  • Women’s rights
  • Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, & Transgender (LGBT) issues
  • Community development, especially in rural areas
  • London 2012 Olympic legacy
  • Climate change
  • Energy

Proposals must meet the funding criteria in demonstrating sustainability, risk mitigation, and fit with British High Commission funding priorities.

Funding will not be provided for conferences, research, recurrent operational costs unless these activities are required to meet project objectives.

Joint bids, whether locally or regionally are encouraged.

Application for funding must be submitted on the standard Project Proposal forms and must include a budget for the activities to be undertaken.

Applications should be submitted by June 21, 2013 to be considered for funding during this financial year.
