British High Commission opens workshop on Child Protection in the Gambia
The UK Deputy High Commissioner to The Gambia George Sherriff this week opened a two day workshop being run by the Child Protection Alliance (CPA) aimed at increasing awareness of child rights amongst religious and community leaders within The Gambia.

The Child Protection Alliance recently secured funding from the British High Commission to run projects aimed at creating a more protective environment for children across The Gambia.
The UK Deputy High Commissioner thanked the religious and community leaders for giving up their time to try and help tackle what can be a very difficult and emotional subject.
Also at the event were representatives from the Supreme Islam Council and the Gambian Christian Council.
