British High Commissioner to Ghana presents his credentials
British High Commissioner to Ghana Jon Benjamin on 18th June presented his credentials to the President of Ghana H.E John Mahama at the Flagstaff House.
The British High Commissioner to Ghana, Jon Benjamin, presented to His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama his Letters of Credence accrediting him as the British High Commissioner to the Republic of Ghana at a ceremony at Flagstaff House in Accra. In the speech he delivered at the ceremony, Jon Benjamin highlighted the strong relationship that binds the UK and Ghana. He stressed the fact that he is highly honored to be entrusted with the role as the British High Commissioner to Ghana and that he is looking forward to further strengthening the many ties that bind the United Kingdom and Ghana.
Accepting his credentials H.E. John Mahama expressed his appreciation to the UK government and how ready they are to work with the British High Commission in Ghana. He welcomed H.E. Jon Benjamin and reiterated his support for Jon Benjamin as the British High Commissioner to Ghana.
Present at the ceremony were Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Honourable Hannah Tetteh, Jon Benjamin’s wife, Carolina, Deputy High Commissioner, Caron Rohsler, Head of DfID Ghana, Sally Taylor, British Defence Advisor to Ghana, Lt Col Ben Richards and the media. .
