British innovators and top investors announced for Global Investment Summit
Blackstone CEO Stephen Schwarzman and CEO and Founder Anya Hindmarch will address the summit alongside pioneering British innovators in tech, life sciences, creative industries and advanced manufacturing.
Some of the world’s biggest investors and pioneering British innovators are now confirmed to be joining the Prime Minister at this month’s Global Investment Summit, Business Secretary Kemi Badenoch confirmed today.
More than 200 of the world’s leading CEOs are expected to attend the exclusive summit, which will showcase the UK as one of the best places in the world to do business and drive billions of pounds of new and strategic investment into every corner of the economy. They will join top British tech creators, fashion icons and industry leaders for talks on the future of the economy and exciting new opportunities for growth in the UK.
Stephen Schwarzman, CEO of the world’s biggest alternative asset manager Blackstone, will join Prime Minster Rishi Sunak for a keynote panel discussion on the importance of investing in the skills and technology that will shape the coming decades.
CEO and Founder Anya Hindmarch CBE will join leading voices in culture, academia, fashion and science to showcase UK talent around the world.
The summit will herald some of Britain’s most pioneering innovations, with AI, quantum, agri-tech, clean growth, advanced manufacturing, life sciences and fashion businesses demonstrating the UK’s unique offer in a central Showcase for investors.
Major investors due to fly in from around the world for the exclusive event are expected to include: David Solomon, Chief Executive of Goldman Sachs; Amanda Blanc, CEO of Aviva; Ignacio Galán, Chairman of Iberdrola; and JP Morgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon.
The UK’s biggest banks - Barclays, HSBC and Lloyds Bank – have also been confirmed as sponsors and principal partners.
